#9 Classmate Blog Critique

Keep Up The Good Work!

This semester, being in a class with so many talented students, it is hard to choose a blog that was my favorite. I think everyone did well in their design and information for each blog. If I had to choose just two, I would choose Lauryn Singletary and Kalijah Smith. They both went above and beyond on their blog, and it should not go unnoticed.

Lauryn's Blog

First off, Lauryn's blog captures your attention as soon as it opens up. She used a different template for her blog compared to most others, and I think that it helps make her website stand out.  I love that she has links to her social media with the apps on the top right of the blog page. All of the colors blend well together and make for an aesthetically pleasing website.

Lauryn's blogs are well written and have lots of interactivity. All of the topics are really interesting to read. The pictures she chooses also add to the look of the blog and capture the reader's attention.

My favorite blog that Lauryn has on her page is the Surveillance and Law Enforcement blog. The Travis Scott concert was a tragedy, and it blew up on social media. I think that it was a smart choice of Lauren to choose this to talk about since it was recent and includes lots of videos to include. I counted 12 interactivity links in the blog. I think that Lauryn did a phenomenal job, not only on this specific blog but on all of them.

Kalijah's Blog

Kalijah's blog design is eye-capturing. I love how she has the class number and name in cursive writing with the black on a white background. Her blog is very elegant with the colors, and it isn't hectic. I love her picture on the right, along with the pronunciation of her name and a bio. Kalijah did a fantastic job on the design of her website.

Kalijah's blog topics are well done and enjoyable. The font of the blogs capture my attention and is unique to Kalijah. I love the grey with the regular text and the black with the interactivity.

My favorite blog of Kalijah's is the Advertising Analysis blog. I think that the KitKat topic was an excellent topic to discuss. She has lots of interactivity, including two videos, and has a lot of information. Kalijah's blog is unique and something that future students can look at to get design ideas.

All Directed Study Blogs

I want to say that everyone in the Directed Study course did an exceptional job on all of their blogs and websites. I have enjoyed reading each topic and learning a lot as well. Everyone deserves to be noticed for their hard work this semester, and I applaud everyone.
